Uttar Pradesh (UP) NEET Counseling

The UTTAR PRADESH NEET MBBS COUNSELING for Medical & Dental program is being conducted by The Director General of Medical Education commonly known as “UP-DGME”.
UTTAR PRADESH NEET MBBS COUNSELING will be conducted for the 85% Government & 100% Private Medical & Dental seats. There are 3 rounds of counseling process which includes “Round 1”, “Round 2” both getting conducted online and the third round is “Mop up” round also called spot round or physical round, which is conducted offline. If seats are vacant after mop up then college round will be conducted, also known as “Stray round”

Eligibility

• NEET QUALIFIED
• U.P DOMICILE FOR GOVT SEATS , OR 10 ,11TH , 12TH PASSED FROM U.P FOR GOVT SEATS
• Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) intending to pursue Undergraduate
• Medical Courses in a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also need to qualify for NEET
• Non-Domicile can only apply for Private Medical/Dental seats

Criteria for NRI / OCI / Foreign Nationals

Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Foreign Nationals are eligible for admission in Medical /Dental Colleges subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments, Institutions, and the Government of India, as the case may be. The NRI and OCI Applicants/Candidates have to upload a Certificate from the concerned Indian Diplomatic Mission in the country of their residence in support of their claim as an NRI/OCI Candidate, along with their online Application Form for NEET (UG)- 2022 and retain the original of such document for producing it at the time of Counseling/ Admission to the Courses covered under NEET (UG).
Similarly, a foreign applicant for NEET (UG) 2022 shall also upload Documentary Proof (e.g. relevant pages of a valid passport or a Certificate from the Competent Authority in the country of his/her nationality regarding his/her citizenship status) in support of his/her Nationality, along with online Application Form.
The Embassy Certificate and Citizenship Certificate or any Documentary proof of Citizenship are given in Annexures - XIV A and XIV B. Foreign nationals may confirm their eligibility from the concerned Medical/Dental/ College/State.

The above security money is to be deposited online at the time of registration & only then you will be eligible for choice filling
Forfeiture Of Security : Your Security Amount Will Be Forfeited If You Reject The College After Its Allotment
Refund Of Security : If No College Is Alloted , Then Your Security Fee Will Be Refunded Online
If You Have Joined The Allotted College Then Also Your Security Fee Will Be Refunded

Steps Involved in The Counseling Process

• Register online on www.updgme.in your login id and password will be created
• Login using your ID and password, take print out of your online application by paying requisite application fee online & SECURITY AMOUNT
• Fill your choices online
• Final result will be declared
• Report to Nodal center with DD of Tuition fee & required documents
• You can either stay with your allotted college or else can go for the up gradation of college in Round 2
• Those who have registered in Round 1 need not register again in Round 2.
• For Mop up everyone has to apply including previously applied students who did not get a seat.

Types Of Seat:

● Government seat - Seat offered in the Government Medical/Dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh. (Only Domicile candidate can apply)
● Private seat – Seat offered in the Private Medical/Dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh (Both domicile and non-domicile can apply)
● Muslim Minority seat – These seats are reserved in the Muslim Minority Private Medical/Dental Colleges for the Muslim Minority students.
● Jain Minority seat – These seats are reserved in the Jain Minority Private Medical/Dental Colleges for the Jain Minority students.
